Mexican burritos may seem out of place in a small town in Cebu but there's a place in Moalboal where it's perfectly served: at Maya's Native Garden
With a choice of beef, chicken, or fish, Maya's 8" burritos can give Tia Maria's a run for their money. Aside from the filling of choice, each burrito is packed with salsa, veggies, and loads of cheese. The best part is that it's only Php 100! No wonder it's the best seller.
According to the extra friendly waitresses, Mexican dishes are the more popular choices among all of Maya's offerings. Here are some of the food we ordered:
Tortilla Chicken Soup - Php 200
Taco Plate - Php 220
If Mexican food isn't really your thing, Maya's offers a lot of other dishes. These are good, too, but IMHO, doesn't seem to top the Mexican dishes. Our other orders:
Omelet - Php 110
Pork Chops - Php 175
The menu offers a variety of dishes catering to tourists in the area:
For just Php 25, the iced tea is worth trying!
Super yummy for only Php 25!
If you're looking for a pretty, quiet and relaxing place to hangout and eat or to stay for the night, then it's definitely at Maya's. There's also free Wi-Fi! (Admit it, we all love free Wi-Fi.)

We wanted to check-in but they were fully booked! :(
Maya's is in Panagsama beach, just 15 minutes away from the Moalboal public market by trike. There are places nearby where tourists can rent bikes, schedule day trips, and go scuba diving.

We enjoyed so much that we came back the next day!
